Never was so much owned by so many to
so few
You may
recognize the heading as coming from the Battle of Britain during WW2
and it seems very fitting for our use at this point in time. Churchill
made this statement acknowledging the fact that the British Air Force
was key in preventing the Germans from landing on their island. You may
also be interested to know that Polish Pilots, about 12 squadrons,
played a major role.
Only a
handful of people are actively involved keeping OUR Polish Hall
functional and stable "right now". Lets list some of the activities
that have been maintained or created for YOUR benefit.
- Twinning
of Ostrow Wielkopolska in Poland with Brantford
- Our
continuous and unbroken involvement with the International Villages
- Creating
and maintaining of our own Web Site
- Supporting
of many teams and leagues
- Friday
night Karaoke
- Special
events throughout the year such as St. Patrick's Day, NHL
- Support
of our Polish War Veterans with the making of a unique DVD
- Great
food from our fabulous kitchen lunches and Friday evenings
- Solid
bookings for the main hall - weddings, seminar, parties
- Scholarships
for members children
- Children's
Christmas Party
- Our own
annual Golf Tournament
- Boxing
Day open house
- Very
popular New Years Eve Party
ALL of these
events, and there are many more, are maintained, organized
and implemented by VOLUNTEERS.
Please get
involved. Think of our parents and other elders who created our hall
and worked so hard for us. We owe it not only to ourselves but for our
children to maintain our Polish communities culture through
it..................don't we?

Polish Hall New Years Dance is an all inclusive event. We remind
everyone to Drink Responsibly, on New Year's Eve and throughout this
