Hello Dear Member!
Another year
is coming to an end and there
is much going on at our hall. This year, 2008, was another busy year
for us; full of wedding receptions, Christening receptions, Christmas
parties and seminars. The new year will be just as promising!
The
temperature outside is getting colder and the snow is falling! In this
chilly weather we encourage ALL members to take few hours out of their
busy schedules to join us on Sunday, December 7th, 2008 at 2:00
p.m.
for meeting. We strongly encourage ALL members to attend and invite you
to bring along anyone else who would be interested in becoming a
member. There are benefits to members. Ask us for more info about that.
The next
meeting, is the nominations meeting. Anyone interested
in an executive position is expected to attend. Fresh eyes and ideas
are welcomed and appreciated.
Your input
is very valuable to us. We are one of the strongest clubs in Brantford,
help us keep that way.

Not
long ago, a wonderful web site was developed for our organization.
Numerous functions have been booked through the use of site. It is very
informative in regards to our hall and Polish culture.
We would
also like to use this web site and member emails, as a means of
communicating and keeping in contact with all of our members. We ask
that every member with access to a computer please send us their
current email address and other updated personal information, (name,
current address and phone number) through the Polish Hall web site. All
information provided WILL BE kept confidential.
We thank
those who have already provided us with updated information.
Notices of
upcoming events and issues will then be distributed to everyone by
electronic means.
SECOND
ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE
The Polish
Hall has once again started the tradition of inviting the public to our
hall in an open house atmosphere. This custom was reintroduced last
year.
This event
is organized to allow the public and members access to our hall. The
community can come in to view our hall and discuss details of events,
memberships and bookings with our executive.
The open
house will be held on Boxing Day, December 26, 2008. After a full day
of Boxing Day shopping, we invite everyone to the Polish Hall for
socializing, drinks and light snacks.
The open
house will begin at 6 pm. At 9 p.m. we will open the microphone to
everyone for a Friday night of Karaoke. Karaoke will continue until
1a.m.
NEW YEAR'S EVE DINNER AND DANCE
New Year is
a wonderful excuse to dress up, dance, and celebrate! We invite
everyone to celebrate the New Year with us.
As in
previous years, the kitchen will serve a fabulous meal with wine.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the
night, champagne and buffet at midnight. DJ Brian Grosvold will be
providing music until 2 a.m.
The Polish
Hall New Year's Dance is an all inclusive event. We remind everyone to
Drink Responsibly, on New Year's Eve and throughout this holiday
season. Remember, if you are drinking, always find a safe drive home,
either by a designated driver or taxi.
